You can use the BLF hint BOSS_EXT, where EXT is the Boss’s Extension number, to monitor the state of the Boss/Secretary function on the Boss’s phone.
You would be able to use the same BLF hint above for the secretary.

These are the standard ports for the different technologies. This is managed through the VitalPBX Firewall rules and technology settings, rather than Network Settings.

We recommend no more than 4 options when creating a BLF, as too many options would be too convoluted for any calling user. So for personal assistant, we have limited this to 4 as this is an end-user managed feature.

*71 would be the only way for you to know which extension is registered through the device, independently if it is a physical or soft device. Hot Desking does not affect any device configurations, since this change is done on a server level.
